A Kensington Palace source said that the Queen's non-attendance is not related to illness, but was mutually agreed with William and Kate some time ago. The christening was described as a small affair with immediate family and godparents.
The pair attended both Prince George’s christening in 2013 and Princess Charlotte’s in 2015.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend, along with the Cambridges, Prince Charles and Camilla, the Middleton family and Prince Louis’ godparents.

Where will Prince Louis’ christening take place?
The service will take place at 4pm today at The Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace; the same church Louis’ brother George was christened in. The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, will conduct the service.
Water from the River Jordan will be poured from the Lily Font, a silver baptismal font commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1840, during the baptism.
What will Prince Louis wear?
The young prince is set to wear a replica of the royal christening robe, a white lace, satin-lined dress first worn in 1841 and now reproduced by dressmaker to the Queen Angela Kelly.
